Cat Alden
Work that both startles and surprises.
Objective
Cat Alden is a multimedia artist based in Petaluma, CA, whose work spans mediums and moods. She approached us seeking a brand identity and website that could represent her as an artist without overpowering her art. She wanted something clean, flexible, and uniquely hers—something that could evolve alongside her portfolio and be easy to update herself. In addition to digital needs, Cat also requested a business card she could share when promoting her work in person. The overall objective was to develop a visual system and digital presence that served as both a platform for discovery and a practical tool to support the next stage of Cat’s creative career and public visibility.
Process
Knowing we were working with a fellow creative, we approached the project as a deeply collaborative experience. We offered Cat our 2 Day Design Intensive, dedicating two full days to focus entirely on her brand, website, and collateral. Day one centered on discovery, brand development, and visual exploration. Together, we established an identity system that reflected Cat’s style without competing with her work. On day two, we brought everything to life—designing and building a user-friendly Squarespace website, finalizing her business card, and ensuring all brand elements were cohesive and easy for her to manage. The process was fast-paced, highly personalized, and centered on Cat’s unique voice as an artist.
Solution
By the end of the two-day intensive, Cat walked away with a polished, professional identity and tools she could use immediately. Her new brand is understated and flexible, designed to enhance—not compete with—her diverse body of work. The Squarespace website is simple to update, visually clean, and optimized to showcase each piece and project clearly. We also delivered a print-ready business card that reflects her brand and feels authentic in person. The result is a fully realized visual presence—digital and physical—that supports Cat’s artistic growth and empowers her to confidently share her work with a wider, more engaged audience.
Project was done in collaboration with JoJo Stassel through One Stone Design.
