San Diego Ceramics Studio
Objective
Cone 6 Ceramics, a beloved San Diego pottery studio, approached us to help craft a brand identity that reflects their mission: fostering creativity, connection, and healing through the art of ceramics. Known for their guided classes, workshops, and community gatherings, they wanted a refreshed visual presence that honored their values and resonated with their eclectic, vibrant audience. Our objective was to develop a holistic brand system—logos, colors, typography, and a website—that captured the spirit of the studio while improving usability and cohesion across all touchpoints. The ultimate goal was to create a brand experience that attracts new members, supports ongoing community engagement, and inspires creativity both in and beyond the studio walls.
Process
To truly understand Cone 6 Ceramics, we immersed ourselves in their studio culture, learning from the community and collaborating closely with founder Cristina. We explored visual directions rooted in their core values, ultimately creating three distinct logos to capture their multifaceted identity. A warm, grounded color palette and organic typography system brought a sense of harmony and approachability. We art-directed a photoshoot to authentically capture the beauty of creation, connection, and joy in their space. These visuals became the heart of the new website, which we designed for both ease and inspiration. Every detail—from structure to styling—was crafted to elevate the user experience while honoring the studio’s welcoming, artful spirit.
Solution
The final result is a cohesive brand system that balances timeless warmth with modern clarity—perfectly aligned with Cone 6 Ceramics’ mission. The logos offer versatility across platforms, while the curated colors and typography establish a consistent, heartfelt tone. The redesigned website improves navigation, enhances storytelling, and invites users into a space that reflects the studio’s essence. Beyond showcasing offerings, it celebrates community and creativity. To ensure sustainability, we provided tools and guidance for continued updates. The end product is more than a rebrand—it’s a vibrant digital home and identity system that strengthens Cone 6 Ceramics’ connection with their audience and empowers them to grow through the transformative joy of pottery.
